Potluck and Talk - Saturday, May 28, 6 p.m.
6:00 p.m.—Pot Luck: Bring some vegetarian food you would like to share with the group.
6:30 p.m.—Multi-media presentation
Terry Brewer and Jake Jackson collaborate in a presentation of original photographs and video accompanied by collected Nepalese music for a vivid tour of daily life, civil unrest and fantastic scenery found in the small Himalayan nation.
Brewer made his first trip to Asia in 1998. Enamored with Nepal, he hoped to return someday to live, work and enjoy and began looking into volunteer opportunities. In 2008, he returned to Nepal as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and stayed two years. In between assignments, he explored the Kathmandu valley and trekked in the Himalaya collecting photos, music and memories.
This talk is in place of the movie, Vajra Sky Over Tibet.
