The Nyingma (ancient) school of Tibetan or Vajrayana Buddhism was founded in the eighth century by the great enlightened Indian tantric master Padmasambhava, "the second Buddha", and is the oldest of the four schools of Tibetan Buddhism (Nyingma, Kagyu, Sakya, and Gelug). Its teachings, transmissions, and lineage of enlightened masters have continued unbroken to this day.
Nyingma: Yeshe Tsogyal
One of the most important female figures in Tibetan Buddhism, Yeshe Tsogyal was the primary disciple and consort of the Indian master Padmasambhava. An enlightened master in her own right, Yeshe Tsogyal preserved all of Padmasambhava's teachings for future generations and taught the path to enlightenment through the example of her own life.
The Yeshe Tsogyal foundational, or ngondro, practice comes from the Dakini Heart Essence (Khandro Thuk Thik ) terma of His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche and is the main practice of this group.
Yeshe Tsogyal teachings are given by Lama Dechen Yeshe Wangmo. The practice group under her direction meets at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in the small meditation room at the center. And (during Covid) on Skype. Contact Ellis Widner or call 501-590-8037
